Booking rules

Reference · Updated 2026-08-11 · Describes Sprint 34

Booking rules are notice, horizon, cancellation notice, minimum and maximum length, buffers, a per-customer limit, and three yes/no choices. If you set none, a permissive default applies — and it is shown, not hidden.

The rules

Hours of notice to book
Stops somebody booking for ten minutes from now.
Days ahead you accept bookings
Beyond this, requests are refused rather than held.
Hours of notice to cancel
Less than this and a cancellation is late.
Shortest and longest booking
A request outside the range is refused before a time is looked for.
Minutes held before and after
Held either side, so back-to-back bookings leave room to breathe.
Bookings one customer may hold
Counts live bookings only. Unset means as many as they like.
You approve each booking
A request waits as pending instead of being confirmed straight away.

Note

“No rules” does not exist. A workspace that has set none is running the default ones, and the settings screen prints them in full so a refusal can always be explained.

What this does not do

Bookings carry no price. INVTION does not charge anybody for an appointment, and a price recorded elsewhere does not reach a booking.

Still stuck?

Academy explains the product; it cannot see your workspace. Write to support@invtion.com and a person will read it.
